Teta was just a young girl when her father, the Chief of the Wa Thembi, was murdered. In an effort to save her life and preserve the kingdom, she was whisked away by her paternal aunt. With Teta out of the way, her uncle Banda seeks to create his own ruling dynasty using brute force and the wicked powers wielded by his wife. The eternal battle between good and evil rages on in the kingdom. Will Teta’s father’s legacy survive? Will Teta find her ‘twin?’ Find out this and more in this pre-colonial tale, ‘The Blue Beads.’

This was a nice twist to a classic Cinderella tale. I enjoyed being transported back into historical Africa with this easy-to-read, hard-to-put-down book that captivated me from beginning to end. Full of moral lessons and truths, this book is great for people young and old.
