Education plays a pivotal role in shaping individuals to actively contribute to their communities and the nation as a whole. Without education, we would have no doctors, no lawyers, no teachers, no economists; in essence, no one to keep the nation running. In an effort to champion education and give Uganda the best opportunity to succeed in the future, the ZEDO (The Zero-Dropout Initiative) was born. The initiative, in partnership with Uganda’s Universal Education Programme, aims at keeping children in school. This handbook is designed primarily for community leaders and educational advocates, who live and work within the proximity of government aided school schools. Together we can reduce the educational gap for all!
