Historian, theologian and ethnomusicologist, former journalist and filmmaker Doye Agama, is a survivor of the Nigerian Civil War, after which he eventually began to gradually recover his previous life in the UK. He has a long association with live and recorded musical performance (vocal, guitar and flute) and previously presented Jazz on Radio. He was a freelance documentary filmmaker for Visnews, (now part of Reuters), and trained as a theatre stage director with Professor Ola Rotimi. Doye Agama’s varied career has also included leading large-scale technical change projects in maritime, safety, search and rescue, energy services, Central and Local Government and commercial campuses. He is a “retired” Priest, who studied Coptic and Greek Christian Orthodoxy. He founded and led the Apostolic Pastoral Congress, a Convergent group of mainly Pentecostal church leaders from where he retired back to technical consulting in digital transformation.
