She attended a prestigious secondary school near Kampala City, and she graduated from Makerere University with a B.A. (Hon.) Sociology. She also attained graduate education in social work from the United States of America. In addition to practicing social work in the United States of America, she taught at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda, and Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Amooti is both a mother and a grandmother. She is passionate about reading literature, listening to Christian music, and supporting needy children in her rural Ugandan community to obtain quality education.”
